We crashed in Lake Havasu City for a night on our way to Las Vegas. On our way out of town, we learned that the city actually owns the old London Bridge.
We drove over to check out the bridge and pulled up
Wikipedia to learn the story: When London replaced their bridge in 1968, Lake Havasu City bought the bridge for $2.5 million. The bridge was disassembled and marked in London, then transported and reassembled for another $7 million(!) in Lake Havasu City. Crazy, right? You can read more on the Wikipedia page
