Las Vegas, NV

LAS VEGAS!! Haha, just kidding. We spent less than 24 hours in the city and I'm pretty sure we went to bed earlier than any other person visiting that night. :)

We found a super cheap hotel room as we were driving to Vegas - we ended up at Circus Circus and our room was totally fine, despite reading a lot of concerning reviews about the hotel online. Once we settled into our room, we decided to spend the afternoon walking the Strip.

We explored every casino/hotel along our way, and got a kick out of the extravagant and unique decor from one place to the next. After a couple hours of exploring, we decided to head back to the hotel, enjoy the free happy hour drinks that came with our room, and get dolled up for a dinner out.

On our way back out for the evening, we got caught in a crazy downpour of rain and ran for cover under some bushes on the Strip, until the rain let up enough for us to duck inside a casino. We had gotten so wet that we had to find the nearest restrooms and dry ourselves off with paper towels!

The rain finally stopped for the night and we continued exploring the Strip, stopping in the Venetian for dinner, then making our way to the Bellagio for the fountain show. It was amazing how vibrant the Strip became at night - everyone bustling about in their glitzy clothes. And the lights...

We both agreed that one night was plenty of time to get a feel for Vegas. Although, with more time (and more of a budget) we would have caught a show and made reservations for a fancy dinner -- next time!
