Willamette Valley | Cherry Picking
As we were driving through the back roads of the Willamette Valley, we came across a pick-your-own cherry farm and decided to stop and fill up a bag. It was both of our first times picking cherries and we were amazed by all the different varieties.
Up at the front, they had little baskets full of each type of cherry, this way you could try them all and decide which kinds to pick! After sampling them all, we decided to wander and pick whatever we came across, rather than following the map to a specific variety.
The heaping bag of cherries we left with lasted us only a couple of days -- they were so good!

Willamette Valley | Wine Tasting
We'd heard great things about Oregon's wine country in the Willamette Valley. Having only an afternoon to dedicate to the region, we took to facebook and instagram to get suggestions of what wineries to visit, and from there we narrowed it down to two, St. Innocent and White Rose.
It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon, perfect for lingering over delicious samples of the region's most popular grape, the pinot noir. As you'd expect, the views around the Valley were stunning, and the picturesque back roads didn't hurt, either.
After visiting some other wine regions around the country, we've decided that the Willamette Valley is definitely at the top of our list of places we'd like to return to!
