Sequim, WA

We were so lucky that our friend Kristina let us know about the lavender region in the Dungeness Valley of Washington's Olympic Peninsula. There are lavender farms all around Sequim, WA, now called the "Lavender Capital of North America," and the region even hosts an annual lavender festival.

We got to Sequim on a rainy day but managed to arrive at Purple Haze Lavender in between drizzles - we had just enough time to pick our own lavender bouquet and explore the grounds before the rain started up again!

We loved Purple Haze - there's a great porch to relax on while taking in the view of beautiful rows of lavender (it's also a great spot to enjoy some lavender ice cream - so good). The onsite gift shop is full of great gifts and keepsakes, and we were happy to pick up a bunch of natural soap bars to bring home to our family and friends. The fact that it's a certified organic farm and everyone at the farm was super nice was just the cherry on top of that lavender ice cream.
