Nichols Arboretum | Ann Arbor, MI

The place we probably enjoyed the most in Ann Arbor was the Nichols Arboretum (the Arb, as we heard the locals call it). Created in 1907, the Arb is maintained by the University of Michigan. Today, the arboretum provides 123 acres of green space for the public. We did a short scenic hike through the park, admired the local squirrels and chipmunks, and enjoyed the 10-degree temp drop under the green canopies. There were tons of people in the park with us: running, playing frisbee, reading in the hammock, and smelling the flowers in the botanical garden.
