Bloomington, IN

We had heard Bloomington, IN was a nice college town with a good dose of sophistication. As Taras has said before, we are both enjoying the college towns we come across on this trip, so we decided to add Bloomington to the list of places to see. We only spent a couple hours in town, enjoying an indulgent late lunch of pasta at Finch's (it was so, so good) and then walking through downtown and part of the Indiana University campus (go Hoosiers!).

We absolutely loved Bloomington! It's easy to identify the city as a college territory, with the beautiful campus right in downtown, students biking around, and the unmistakable fresh, artistic feel throughout downtown. And, just as we had heard, the great restaurant offerings (we love when there are locally sourced and organic options aplenty) and cleanliness of the city make the town that much more enjoyable.

Many thanks to Jessica of What I Wore.  We e-mailed her for suggestions of what to do in her town of Bloomington and she was so quick to suggest a few great restaurants, including Finch's!
