Nashville, IN

While we were camping at Brown County State Park, we saw a sign pointing toward Nashville, IN. So when we headed out of town toward Bloomington, IN, we decided to stop in town to see if we could find a coffee shop with wifi - we were thrilled to come across the most adorable historic artists colony.

The town draws a lot of visitors each year; they come for the many shops with unique local art, restaurants, bars, sweet little hotels, and the all-around artist vibe in the community. The morning we visited, there were tourists and locals alike swarming around downtown and enjoying the beautiful weather.

We were chatting with a woman at Common Grounds, a local coffee shop that feels like your grandma's living room and even has a piano for customers to play, and she said she had driven through town 30 years ago and never left! Such a crazy and inspiring story, but it was easy to see why she was drawn to stay.
